Pen3 EMS System Requirements

The Pen 3 System is a Windows Based Application.  The technical requirements for your computer environment are fairly basic.  The most significant requirement of the Pen 3 System (like any other software application) is having dedicated, trained, competent staff to operate the software.

Pen 3 is a Microsoft XP Office© Compliant Application.  It uses the same basic underlying core tools that other Microsoft Office© applications use (such as Excel©, Word©, MS Access©, etc).  Thus, your PC must be compliant with the same system requirements for these applications.

Promoters who wish to run a concurrent network of machines running Pen 3 with shared access to a single image of the database should pay special attention to the Network Requirements section of this page.

Basic Requirements

The software manufacturer recommends that the operating PC meet these minimum requirements.

  • Windows XP
  • 512K RAM (Min)
  • 50mb Free Disk Space

The application is not warranted to run on other Windows© OS's.   Pen 3 EMS will not run on Windows Vista©.

Network Requirements

The primary requirement for a promoter to operate the Pen 3 system in a networked fashion is that they have sufficiently trained technical support staff who can establish and maintain a secured local area network (LAN) between 2 or more machines.  Lazy M Development Group does not provide support or assistance with Technical Network Operations or Connectivity.

Once two or more machines have been successfully connected on a LAN, it is important that the Pen 3 Administrator define which machine will host the master database image and that all associated machines are successfully linked to the master.
